“Hope”
This Limited edition print is in collaboration with the Children’s Assessment Center (CAC) of Houston. It derives from the collaborative mural on the parking garage roof, where CAC supporters and sponsors joined me in the creations of the mural process. The mural focuses on the word “Hope” as the word that best describes what they strive to deliver and instill to every child that come through the facility. It is also a message to the staff as a sign of honor and acknowledge for all the work they do behind the scenes.
The design is a reverse style from my original paintings. Where the concrete wall looks to be knocked away and broken through so we can peer what lies beyond the wall. On the other side of the actual wall are all the departments the work in unison to support the children, and the word hope with the repeated patterns of hearts symbolize what is found within the CAC, as to be peering into the hearts and minds of everyone within. When looking closely to at the mural, words written by the sponsors and supporters of the CAC are found within the hearts, like hidden gems of messages for encouragement.
